The dirt was black, the ground was mostly mud and rotting bodies, shot and blown apart people mixed into the mud, the bodies really smelt bad. It rained explosions, the screams of horror cries of battle were consistent, and death seemed inevitable, but I was calm and focused on winning the war. The dream seemed real, as far as I was aware, I was really there, I’ll never forget the pain and sacrifice of war. I’m normally good at interpreting dreams, but this one is weird, in that it was so literal and un metaphorical and profoundly impacting.
